The Peter Schiff Show

Social Media Management | Content Creation | Graphic Design

Peter Schiff is an American investor, NYT best-selling author, CEO, and Chief Global Strategist of Euro Pacific Capital with a massive following (currently 830K+ on TW, 533K+ on YT, 110K+ on IG, 500K+ on YT). He is widely known for forecasting the 2008 financial crisis, the housing bubble that preceded it, and the recession that followed.

Utilizing graphic design, copywriting, and video editing, I enriched his omnichannel social media presence and ensured stylistic consistency across his brand.

The Challenge

Peter was new to the Instagram platform with no content for it and looking to reach a new audience for The Peter Schiff Show podcast. His growth on other social networks was stagnant, with a lack of diversity in the content and without a regular cadence. The podcast itself was regularly reaching over 100K listeners per episode across platforms, but there were untapped areas on social that would give it exposure to new audiences in more engaging ways. The challenge with Peter was to implement a social media strategy, create engaging, relevant, and impactful content, and to develop a cohesive brand identity across his accounts.

THE RESULTS

In my 2 years as social media manager and content creator, Peter’s accounts experienced steady growth and high engagement. I lead the new Instagram account to a consistent increase in followers of 1.5% - 2% weekly, averaging 2.5K likes per post at 2-3 posts per day, half a million impressions per week, and 10K profile views per week. The account currently sits at 111K+ followers.

I leveraged Peter’s podcast episodes and frequent media appearances as pillar content, creating short-form video, infographics, and audiograms to be posted across social channels and drive listeners to full podcast episodes and other long-form website content. Viewership per episode on YouTube has increased to an average of 80K.

Over time, my strategy evolved to incorporate a new YouTube channel, Schiff Clips, featuring 5-10 minute segments from the podcast to encourage sharing, as well as a presence on TikTok, Clubhouse, & in Twitter Spaces.
